The Future of Materials Research III (FOM III) Workshop
[ezcol_1half]
Call for Abstracts and New Proposals*: The 3rd Annual Future Of Materials workshop(FOM III) aims to address the grand challenges facing the next generation of functional materials by fostering collaborative activities that harness a wide-range of research tools and intellectual resources within the Research Triangle area.
To foster a collaborative and forward-looking community FOM III will continue its non-traditional format where participants are encouraged to pitch new proposals in addition to presenting published work.
New Proposals: We seek new proposal ideas from graduate student investigators. A two-page proposal (excluding references), should be submitted online here. The most competitive proposals will earn the chance to make an oral presentation during FOM III and monetary prizes will be awarded for the top oral proposal pitches.
Contributed Talks: We also seek contributions of oral presentations based on published work. Contributions not chosen for oral presentations will be included in the FOM III poster session and entered into the poster prize competition.
The workshop will include two plenary talks by invited speakers (TBD).
*Note: Only graduate students and post-docs will be allotted oral presentations, while proposal presentations are submitted only by graduate students. More senior personnel may contribute posters.
